might have Spore Origins working in touchHLE soon 🤞
a thing that really irks me about git: the “author date” in commits. imho, if you make non-trivial changes to a commit when amending it, you should update that date; and if you squash several commits together, you should use the date of the latest one. neither is the default…
drawback of having the phone password underpin the entire security model: if someone’s looking over your shoulder when touch ID or face ID isn’t working, you’re fucked? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUYODQB_2wQ
it extremely annoys me that you can have event-driven systems where you trigger an event and set up the event handler after the fact, hoping the event hasn’t actually happened yet
yes multiple early iPhone OS apps do this, why do you ask,
did you hear about the composer who made one of the notes on the scale a semitone out of tune? he claimed it was accidental
I have discovered, to my great delight, that the mobile web version of GMail still looks and feels like an early iPhone app, albeit with flatter design now… :o
macOS has high-res vector art of a few generic MIDI instruments… open a Finder window, press ⌘⇧G, paste in /System/Library/Audio/MIDI Devices/Generic/Images
I don’t now who you were, Apple employee 20 years ago who decided the world needed this, but I salute you 🫡
one of the dangers of having a spice rack is that spices smell very nice and you might sometimes go to it and just open one of the jars… and it’ll smell nice… and you’ll get hungry and want to cook something with that spice.
very dangerous… look out for yourself!!
if you’re following me and just want to get notified when there’s a new touchHLE release, you can join https://discord.gg/z9AFDURTFa and you’ll be @‘ed for new versions. (no, you can’t send messages in that server, sorry.)
hello fellow swedes, it’s tax declaration season
it may interest you to know that you don’t pay tax if you sold second-hand goods online… at least, within a fairly generous allowance and if you’re not doing it in a businesslike way: https://www.skatteverket.se/privat/skatter/arbeteochinkomst/inkomster/kopforsaljningochspelpainternet/forsaljning.4.7b610ded10741da92fa8000834.html (IANAL etc)
