remember a few months back when the sky turned red over manhattan? at the time, a lot of people discovered their phones couldn't take a picture of it. their phones recognised the sky but didn't believe it was actually that colour, and βcorrectedβ itβ¦

i take a huge number of photos and then never post them. i kinda want to do a photo blog thing but it feels so vulnerable, almost all the photos are of mundane things i find pretty in my local area, i'd be going from not emphasising where i live to making it hyper-present
one big difference between the US and the EU is the latter has a more functional regulatory state and i really have to wonder if this is related to the other big difference, that the average EU citizen has no idea how the EU works

the X gender marker on passports is cool, but here's what actually rules: if you get one, the machine-readable zone doesn't contain an X, it contains no gender at all. the space is filled by > which is used as a filler/spacer (e.g. names are written like NO>YUME>>HIKARI>>>>>>>)

i know i said i don't want to post about non-artistic technical topics but if retweeting my old tech posts serves as a lure with which i can bait-and-switch people into appreciating the rest of my personality, then so be it >:3
i shouldn't post about this because talking about your projects makes you less likely to finish them, but: ahhhhh i am writing an extremely big blog post rn and i'm so excited for it. i really hope i'll finish it but for once i actually feel confident in saying i will
