jump to expanded postif Microsoft ever remove 32-bit x86 app compatibility from Windows, it will be worse than burning the Library of Alexandria
@hikari I don't expect this to happen, before Windows x128 releases.
@hikari they seem to quite like x86 mode, Visual Studio only got updated to x64 this year, x86 is the default config of Windows based azure app instances.
@robertpi yeah haha, one reason they can't remove it immediately is that they themselves still rely on it. Apple are far more disciplined about this
@robertpi it was a similar story with 16-bit apps until NT replaced Win9x, I believe
