oh my god, the new colleague at work couldn't open the terminal on his Linux machine because his shell is set to /bin/false. I'm amazed you can even get into the GUI when that's the case…
@hikari Makes me wonder what DE stack they're using, since last I checked GDM at least uses $SHELL -c to start the desktop session
@Qyriad it's whatever the default for Ubuntu (20.04 or 22.04, not sure) is
