they're actually the exact same effect, it's just that for cameras, it's extremely hard to get accurate per-pixel depth information. on the other hand, in 3d rendering? man, if there's one thing we have had absolutely nailed for three decades, it's accurate per-pixel depth
@hikari The standards on which phone cameras get improved is a mystery to me anyway. I don't need my camera to AI alter my picture of the moon so that I can gaslight myself into thinking my camera doesn't suck at taking pictures of the moon
I need a phone with a front camera lens that doesn't make me look like a clown
