jump to expanded postdoing research and development work for a corporation, in some industries at least, means dedicating a huge part of your brain to secrets that, once you leave, you are expected to take to the grave with you. it's pretty taxing if you find those secrets interesting at all
I guess nature's nda expiry is that eventually that information becomes so outdated by the power of continual advancement and so corrupted by the fallibility of human memory that even if you told someone everything, at some point it wouldn't matter
I'm not going anywhere with this, it's just a thing
(I still don't recommend doing it obviously)
