jump to expanded postwanted to post on the VirtualBox forums and apparently that requires an Oracle account, so I go to make one and⦠lmao, you have to specify your job title, company name and address, and work phone number. this is the most Oracle thing.

@hikari it's weird how good backwards compatibility is for old macOS/iOS. You can still iMessage/FaceTime people from iOS 6 (even if they're on a modern device). There's even a workaround for 2FA (put the code after your password)
@jmshrv I'm extremely glad that old iOS still can talk to Apple's servers and sync with iTunes, with some caveats. preserving old apps would be a lot harder if that wasn't possible

@hikari I've got an account there from years ago. I don't remember if the requirement was there back then, but if it was, I'm certain I put some garbage in those fields.
