jump to expanded postthe learning curve is a little steep and the preview rendering performance is horrifyingly bad, but oh my god, why have i never used blender for video editing before. it's frame-precise, i can composite all the stuff i want, and it has keyframe-based animation. in an open-source package i'm already somewhat familiar with!!
HOW IS THE RENDERING PERFORMANCE FOR VIDEO THIS BAD
HOW
IT IS LITERALLY 1080P VIDEO CONTAINING ONLY A STATIC SCREEN OF TEXT
oh my fucking god the rendering output is half-broken as well
how does anyone use this???
the thing is, if it weren't for the renderer being so horrifyingly inefficient, this would be a fantastic video editor. i want to love it.
i think i might become a blender contributor just to fix the video rendering component. not joking
@hikari Iβll be rooting for you. but are you on an M1 or something else βweirdβ? because it really seems like the kind of problem theyβd both really want to fix and know how to fix
@0xabad1dea no, it's equally bad on an Intel MacBook and a Ryzen PC
@hikari
