that tweet was and is so upsetting because it's so arrogantly ignorant and the reasons why are obvious even to a beginner. apparently i, an extremely bad and inexperienced musician, put more effort into learning music than mr t*msw**ney ep*cg*mes did before proposing new notation
(i shouldn't be posting about it but sometimes a tweet just does you psychic damage and i think t*msw**ney ep*cg*mes accidentally succeeded in that.)
it's not even complex theoretical things that are difficult to grasp. it's literally… have you ever opened a complex MIDI file in some kind of editor and tried to adjust the timings of notes with short durations without turning on grid snap and zooming in? it's hell
