I figured out how to use the low-pass filter on the Roland SC-7 (the “General MIDI only” little sibling of the SC-55). I can't believe it even has one, let alone a user-accessible one. now I'm gonna be unstoppable

‪the answer is: the hardware synth, because it has better sample rate both in the ROM and the output, and effects, and a low-pass filter :3‬

hey wait there's actually more bass during the trough of the sweep due to some cool filter artifact!!! it's not just my ears, look at this spectrogram… this explains why it sounded so cool :3
