”show” is such a fucked up swedish word… it's literally just a borrowing of the english word “show”, /ɔ͡ʊ/ dipthong and all, but… but the initial consonant becomes /ɧ/!!! uncomfortably english and undeniably swedish at the same time…
this english borrowing just hits different. other words either sound disrespectfully english but that's cute in their own way (i love saying stuff like ”det makear sense” or ”posta” [online], not to be confused with ”posta” [mail]), or they feel integrated, like ”shoppingcenter”
it's so cursed because how would you even respell it… shåo? i feel dirty for writing that
