this is a self-deprecating joke because the girl is me. this is why i like the real world. i'm not joking
plato in his allegory of the cave failed to consider that the prisoners would be amazed by how the real world has incredibly good draw distance, texture detail, foliage, and above all, really high quality real-time reflections on basically all surfaces
it's not just eye candy though. i think what i love about the source engine is its sense of a world built out of tangible materials: concrete, metal, wood, and so on. and the real world is full of those materials, but they're even better in real life. i love built environments.
