jump to expanded postjust found out danish does the thing german does where you use “to have” to form the perfect tense for most verbs and “to be” for a handful of copula-ish and movement verbs. fine so far. but,,,, but “to be” uses “to have” for its own perfect tense!!!! what is this, french??? 😭
