hanging around interesting people feels uncomfortable insofar as i don't think i'm as interesting as them and so i don't always feel i belong (i.e. i feel like an impostor)… but if i hang around uninteresting people i have no envy motivating me to better myself, i become content
so i guess what i'm saying is, “make friendships that'll force you to up your game”. i probably said that before
@hikari I wouldn't have learned half the things I know if I didn't hang out with people way smarter than me. But after a while, I realised that I had experiences and perspectives they appreciated, too.
And now that I'M the onee-san in a lot of these relationships, I appreciate that teaching things to people who want to learn is DELIGHTFUL (IMO).
