i have been told to unpin my pinned post because apparently there's an issue between gotosocial and pleroma that wastes cpu time if you have a pinned post (https://github.com/superseriousbusiness/gotosocial/issues/2039), though… this doesn't seem to actually have helped with my instance's sluggishness
