it'd be kind of cool if you could just become a high-ranking member of the Capitalist Party of the United States and suddenly find out the truth behind all the propaganda things spread through society from the internal news service. but psyops in democracies don't work like that
mind you i have no idea if they work that way in autocracies either. do the internal (i.e. high-ranking party member only) news services actually tell the truth
don't have to conspire to suppress the truth if you can create a belief compelling enough that people will overlook it
