i love how the wikipedia page for the guy who ran the ukrainian communist party from 1972–1989 and insisted on using the russian language for everything… refers to him via the ukrainian version of his name
putin is probably kept awake at night by the thought that future history books will call him volodymyr volodymyrovych
(language politics are bad, i just think it's funny)
