i've always wondered, if you take a gprs/3g/lte/5g router or modem and put a normal mobile phone sim in it, does it just work? and is there a little screen in the web interface where you can see all the sms your mobile network sends you?
turns out it's a yes to both :3
and YES, your girlfriend can send an emoji to your router's sim card's phone number and you can view it in the web interface. if you want to.
ooh i was able to send one back (with the desktop web interface, which is less good)
