tired after a long day, i stare at my keyboard and, for a moment, catch a glimpse of the symbols as they really are, as if i do not know the latin script, as if they were just alien symbol designs from a video game, and i feel joy in it

@hikari There was a DS game called "Polaris" that was all about drawing paths over patterns, and after I played it for sufficiently long for the rest of the day when I looked at text I could not see the letters, I could only see the whitespace, the paths between and within letters that you could potentially draw a Polarium path along, it was very disorienting, it had not until this point occurred to me such paths exist

we used to like looking at books with Linotype-era typesetting because the machine is smart, but not smart enough to prevent "rivers" through the text, it takes a skilled operator to do that...
