i was already extremely pessimistic about it having lived there for most of my life and paid attention to politics and the big issues, but this video told me about a bunch of stuff i didn't know and now i am even more pessimistic!

‪what kills me is that i have absolutely zero faith in the probable incoming new government fixing anything. might be the first british election i'm eligible to vote in where i just don't vote. it's first past the post, it's not like a vote for a third party would be meaningful.‬

but i haven't lived in the uk in half a decade. maybe that's okay.

@hikari only watched 28 minutes so far, and my review is mixed tbf; while it has some good points, I feel like it skips over or simplifies a lot of the nuance involved in places, which makes things seem more depressing than they really are
