ok i've suspected this for years but i'm now certain of it: dream memories are separate from normal memories and continue to exist in dreams. things i would dismiss as coming from dreams when awake don't just fade away. they can be remembered in later dreams and feel real again
โชi had a dream last night that referenced a past event that i know occurred in a previous dream, years ago i think. previously i've been unsure if these apparent memories from dreams actually existed, after all, maybe the age of the memory was dream information. but no!โฌ
@hikari I was recently told that when you remember something, what you're remembering is not the actual thing itself, but the last time you remembered it.
But it sounds like you're saying if that were true, then you would know in your dream that the memory was false, because that was the context of your last memory of it.
@hikari absolutely! I sometimes remember a dream and I remember that in that dream I remembered (๐ ) some other dream that I had years ago. Sometimes the dream is basically a sequel to previous dream I didn't remember when awake.
