one of funniest things in swedish political history is how, after the election in 2014, a new government was formed by a somewhat unpopular agreement between left-wing and centrist parties, and the obvious acronym for the name of the agreement was the swedish word for “die!”

in 2018 they had another election and, probably recognising their mistake last time, the new agreement was named differently, and this time the acronym is the swedish word for “yes!”

‪the 2022 election saw a right-wing swing and brought in a new coalition with far-right populists gaining control of policy. unfortunately the acronym for the agreement currently governing swedish politics is very boring (again translated): “take!”‬
