i really like the russian style of naming things. there's something very pretty about it. the americans would call something ‘the apollo program’, the russians would have named it ‘space program «apollon»’

a related fascination of mine is that i just like the way russian uses “object” more broadly than english does. or rather объе́кт, of course. apparently it means something like “facility”? calling such a thing an “object” just sounds fantastic to my english speaker brain
