hustle culture and its consequences have been a disaster for creative space
@hikari i'm having trouble making new techie friends because i keep going to meetups that are just networking events :(
@Ezhik ow. uh. are you familiar with hackerspaces? that's probably what you need
@Ezhik at least in my experience they tend to be much more social and much less “networky”, perhaps because they're typically kinda anti-corporate
@hikari there have to be some in tokyo but i just haven't looked hard enough
i'd guess part of the problem is that i started with english-language spaces and those tend to be more corporate
