once i'm back in sweden i need to figure out how to optimise things for maximal convenience in making music for me
i think one of the reasons i keep doing it so infrequently is every last bit of friction adds up
i have very convenient setups for “just playing stuff” but my life is difficult once i want to record stuff, that's the problem
@hikari One overlooked bit of gear I have is a cheap, small bluetooth keyboard. It doesn't matter that my MIDI controller isn't really in a convenient place relative to my desk because I can use the bluetooth keyboard for basic DAW shortcuts (like starting a take). I actually bought it for my Steam Deck but honestly I've found it more useful as a secondary keyboard for my PC.
