jump to expanded postabout to watch „megalopolis“
what
oh the director is the person that wrote the script. that… explains
there's something i want to say about this movie but you guys have to promise not to get mad at me
it's like if tommy wiseau had a budget
i mean that in a very specific way and i think it will probably mislead anyone who hasn't seen this thing
megalopolis was a kind of frustrating movie because it wants to deliver great spectacle, it wants to have everything be very stylised and larger than life, and to the extent it does this it does end up being kinda cool, but it still doesn't do this anywhere near enough
i could mentally substitute some of the backdrops and stuff with amaurot from final fantasy xiv and it wouldn't feel any different, and i think that is a failing
“hikari are you saying the problem with megalopolis is it is not insane enough” yes
anyway yes i loved adam diver's performance as “kylo ren” in “star wars 10”
And when we ask these questions [about whether a film is good], when there's a dialogue about them, that basically is a utopia.
