maaaan how much of what i think of as “modern” in the sound of a particular style of music is just the clarity of the piano tones
you ever realise that something that defines the sound of something to you might actually just be a result of previously existing recording technology limitations
still unable to deal with that time i found out the novachord just sounds like that though. i had always ascribed something about its sound to recording technology at a subconscious level
though the thing is full of vacuum tubes so i mean maybe i wasn't far off
