jump to expanded postseisyun complex? i find it very simple actually
i love bocchi
kakinarase hikari no fazu de
raimei wo todorokasetainda
uchinarase itami no saki e doushiyou!
daibousou doumou na kodou wo~
you can tell i like this OP because i immediately decided i wanted to time it for karaoke
sometimes there is just a “j-rock anime op with somehow emotionally resonant lyrics”-shaped hole in my heart, you know
this is what i meant by timing for karaoke btw
(if you don't recognise this software: you wouldn't! it's something my gf wrote and which i have also contributed to, but i don't think i've ever talked about it publicly. i'm pretty proud of it at this point, it's really smooth)
(the software is called “hibikase”)
WHY DID BOCCHI THE ROCK TURN INTO A SALARYMAN NTR DRAMA SUDDENLY
BOCCHI THE ROCK!
i've accidentally been listening to the OP at a … probably unhealthy volume while timing it, but i don't do that too often, it's a nice experience
the OP is actually quite rock (in the sense of making my life difficult trying to do karaoke timing)

i finally watched Bocchi the Rock! with my gf (she'd watched it before)
it was really great. kind of a perfect series. nothing more or less than it needed to be
bocchi the rock is a highly realistic anime series, anyone who tells you otherwise just hasn't been there
@hikari what are those symbols? what language is it? automatic translation doesn't work
@esoteric_programmer sorry it's just the phrase “tropicallove forever” written in fancy script characters
@hikari fun fact, these days a lot of fansub k-timing is done by transcribing the song into a musescore file (...which I actually do by way of synthv -> midi) and then running a script that converts to ASS timing
@hikari it preserves the note pitch data as well, so the kfx can make use of that
@hikari this is how we did all the songs for Girls Band Cry (and if you haven't seen that show, you should!)
@rcombs hey, can you link a bigger post about this, I'm incredibly curious
@karen I would first have to write such a post, since this is mostly a thing I do myself
