the really insidious thing about the concept of normie sold to normies is that it tries to hide all the ways you're not from you. the “they are [X], i am not and could never be [X]” is a bitterly, painfully double-edged sword that destroys the person who wields it from the inside

‪of course the tragedy of this is that it suggests that perhaps normie is actually nothing but an attitude, that everyone in society has some fundamental trauma, that everyone is keeping up appearances, and that's a very painful conclusion, but it's also closer to my actual belief‬

‪i think something that genuinely would kind of destroy me would be if i met someone who literally has no trauma whatsoever. if i talked to someone enough, got so close to them emotionally, could dive so deep into their inner world, and didn't find any hurt there, at all.‬
