jump to expanded posti hope the he/him and it/its lesbians win someday, turning english gendered pronouns into something more like japanese first-person pronouns, which is to say more of a vibe and a vehicle for gender expression and less of a strict gender classification

unfortunately the fact said pronouns are used by others to refer to you, and reflexively so, means it would be hard for such a shift to penetrate far outside of particularly gender-aware circles
