i am not proud that i managed to stop caring about politics enough that i was able to absorb the gutpunch of reading the news this morning without it actually hitting me that bad because i refuse to process it, but man.
maybe my continued posting can be a nice distraction.
‪it's very easy for me to think this but i think also that it is necessary to remain optimistic and cheerful even in a very bleak world. when we all lose the ability to be that, the world we care for is already lost. something like that‬
‪i didn't actually stop caring about politics, what i did was i decided that the constant rush of fear and anger and pain that i got from reading political news on twitter all the time was just too much, that it was going to take my attention away from what really matters to me‬
there will come a better day, and if we lose hope in advance then we won't be there for it
