madoka magica is a work best experienced multiple times so you can begin to understand homura
this feels like such an obvious take i almost feel bad for tweeting it but seriously
i began to feel an almost spiritual connection to homura upon watching the movies last month, having originally seen the tv series circa 11 years ago, because i could feel the terrifying weight of predestination hanging on every moment
it's not one of those works that falls apart upon re-experiencing it. it only becomes stronger. it's such a sincere mythic tragedy that it fucking kills you. it'll probably kill me eventually
