i am way better at “hallucinating” music in the ai model sense than i am at actually writing music, i wonder if i should just try to record myself singing whenever i do that and try to massage it into an actual “song” later
i really have to figure out how to get from that to actually playing something on some instrument because it's incredibly easy and natural for me to do it but i can Only do it with the instruments in my mind and with my voice. can't on keyboard, yet anyway
my song memory scares me though, any such “hallucinations” are surely confabulated from bits and pieces of songs i've heard before, but isn't that literally all music in some sense, weh
@hikari do you also get the thing where you play a song back in your head so vividly you realize there’s an extra instrument or leitmotif or whatever that you’d never paid attention to before
@Ash not often, but i think i've noticed details like this after-the-fact on occasion
@hikari have you ever seen anyone else describe this? i’m the same way, but i’ve never been able to find anyone talking about it
