i think sometimes you have to let serendipity happen to you and if you're looking for a musical instrument or something and you see one you immediately fall in love with, just getting it and not worrying about if it's the theoretical optimum is not the worst idea
what i'm saying is today i was basically like yui from k-on and i have a good feeling about it, and the past music gear purchases i've spent a long time overthinking tend to be regretted more because everything gets lost in a sea of What Could've Been
this is obviously conditional on being able to afford the damn thing etc etc etc
