not many people know that when you play a guitar it becomes slowly bound to your spirit. already at 1% bonding it is no longer possible for you to resell it. if it reaches 100% you can extract materia but this destroys the guitar
(this ffxiv joke writes itself if you either have an animistic view of instruments or if you have played the german version of the game where spiritbonding is called “emotional connection” which is, like, literally what the average guitarist has to their instrument i think)
