been trying to figure out guitar tuning by ear (using my PSS-A50 keyboard for reference pitches) and, hmm, i wonder why i had so much trouble with the G string, something about this particular pitch is uniquely difficult for me
@hikari guitar tuning by harmonics was the game changer for me, along with the simple mathematics of how interference beats work.

What I didn't understand - this being in the 1970s - was why it didn't seem to be being taught.
As a left-hander and at the time unable to get a genuine left-handed guitar, fret based tuning was inherently "out" and harmonics rescued me from that.
