why am i struggling so hard with tuning my guitar today, it took forever but i feel like it was easier a week ago
being able to remember and sing specific pitches, and being able to play pitches on a digital keyboard… all this is worth very little if i struggle to compare them
‪i start to wonder if i'm sometimes noticing some characteristic other than pitch difference and can't reliably distinguish them. like… string tension? string twangyness? distance from any A4=440Hz semitone? god knows‬
maybe if it's only slightly out-of-tune, i can fix it, but if it's off by more than a semitone, this brain starts aiming to make the gap between the string and the reference pitch be an integer number of semitones, not a zero number? idek
i gave up and used an app
