i really strongly associate the swedish given name ”linus” with nerds and i do not just mean the two examples that would be obvious to english-speaking internet users; half the examples on my list are people you have never heard of
this may just be some kind of selection effect because i do know a lot of nerds but it's really funny
i'm actually not sure if i can name someone called linus who's not a nerd and i can think of at least six!
“peanuts” enjoyers help me out here, is the fictional character “linus” that the song “linus and lucy” is named after also a nerd

@hikari If we're talking fictional characters there's the hobo from Stardew Valley who isn't very nerd-coded? But also the fan canon is that he's secretly God in disguise, theology tells us God is everything, therefore He's also a nerd among other things

@hikari I can only think of one other linus at the moment and he’s a font nerd so this tracks
@hikari checks out in my mind as well, all the examples I can think of are nerds and even absent of that it just always kind of.. had that vibe to it to me? it's weird
