jump to expanded posti think the vox amplug3 has soured on me a bit just because of the sheer annoyingness of having the thing physically sticking out of the guitar and it requiring shape-rotator-brain to keep track of. something about the tiny wheels really frustrates me too
i think what i probably want is a tiny multi-fx pedal with a built-in amp sim. i probably do not care whether it is a “good” simulation by conventional standards?? because i'm probably going to hate it somehow; being able to tweak it may be more important than anything else
@hikari if you don't mind plugging the guitar into your computer, there's some fantastic software to emulate guitar effects and amps. Some of it is free, even.
@Tijn oh i'm sure, but i do not have a good relationship with software instruments and try to avoid them
@hikari yeah fair enough - this is how 99% of my guitar playing happens and I'm generally pretty happy with it. But I understand involving a computer is always a bit sad.
