jump to expanded postgoing to watch at least one episode of a very normal anime
oh my god she wasn't kidding, “momentary lily” feels like it's on some kind of substance from the very first second
they're such visionaries. instead of waiting for someone to edit the anime footage into a psychedelic AMV, the look is pre-baked into the actual show
i've never seen something so fucking frenetic i don't think my eyes or my visual cortex can keep up with this OP what the fuck am i watching
i finished watching episode 1
i
i think “momentary lily” is what happens to your brain if you spend 10,000 hours listening to sakura moe nightcore or something
seriously this is æsthetically at its core more music video than anime. i sorely wish my brain was functioning right now like it was 3 months ago, and that i had the relevant genre literacy, because it screams some genre but i cannot name it or describe the relation in this state
this is kind of like what “blue reflection” would be if the creators were more insane and also paradoxically trying less hard
oh is it time to watch the second episode already i guess it is
WHY DID THE CAMERA SUDDENLY SWITCH TO VERTICAL VIDEO ROTATED 90 DEGREES FOR ONE SHOT WHAT
other characters can respond to things strangely quickly and appear instantly. are we sure they have separate bodies
the cooking segments are the only ones that feel remotely normal
ok i finished episode 2
…
what
hysteria about death can only be prospective? is that the message of this episode
“momentary lily” episode 1 but it's only the environmental shots where basically nothing is happening, a supercut (this is massively underselling the anime, almost all the Cool Shit, including environmentally, happens when there's characters on screen)
i can't believe it, i managed to make momentary lily seem boring. that's actually an achievement
episode 3 features characters being the least distressed about another character's death i think i've ever seen. it would normally upset me but these characters' interactions are so bizarre i kinda refuse to think of them as people with independent bodies
ok the characters following the trail of photos posted by an anonymous twitter account they know nothing about is kind of a wonderful way to advance the plot i love this
