oh right me liking the telecaster shape is not just a [passive influence of specific friend] thing, i am a known Slab Liker, i only stopped using a slab-shaped phone begrudgingly

Telecaster is easily one of the coolest guitars out there imho.
I love this old recording of a The Police concert in Germany, with Andy Summers rocking a Telecaster with humbuckers on.
Their delivery of "Bring On The Night" at around 26m in is just *chef's kiss*
