what do you mean standard guitar tuning is not an open tuning i love the chord that has a perfect fourth and a minor seventh and a uh… checks notes minor tenth? And

@hikari@social.noyu.me as far as I can tell, standard tuning a whole pile of compromises, and makes learning the guitar unnecessarily challenging imo, I'm only recently starting to actually use open tunings coz I'm a creature of habit lol
@HaruEb hmm, from my perspective the big compromise is that the interval between the fourth and fifth strings is different from all the other intervals, but it otherwise makes sense to me as a tuning
