gen alpha kid listens only to modern pitch-corrected music, plays portal: “i don't get it, glados is supposed to sound robotic?”
(pitch correction is a big part of why glados sounds Like That, and was done with the same tools they use to flatten the life out of human singing: https://youtube.com/watch?v=1oQn66gvwKA)
@hikari we find that pitch correction seems to have the smallest effect of all the edits. whatever shifting is being done by "edit formant" seems to be much more important (changing the timbre which we usually parse as the most important aspect of sounding Like That)
