jump to expanded posthigh gain high e string vomit (i really need to learn how to play this thing at some point)
guitar screams pretty though
as fun as this kind of noodling around is i am cognizant that it does not build skill and i guess at some point i really need to, i don't know, buy a book of guitar tablature and force myself to work through it or something. i really don't want to end up trapped by lack of skill
this is incidentally one reason i got the rock band 3 guitar because i think that game's particular set of practice exercises and its ruthless requirements for rhythm might carrot and stick me into actually learning things and as a bonus get me to stop looking at the fretboard
@hikari I don't have anything specific to recommend because 1) I am not very good at guitar and 2) my teenage strategy of "buy total guitar every month and just pick something cool out of it" is sadly no longer a viable option.
I will say, a year and change of piano lessons has improved me substantially after 2 years or so of using one of those learning apps. They are fine as far as they go (especially for the price) but play-along has a definite ceiling
