jump to expanded postan adhd diagnosis is like the gentrification of drug use or something but i don't know how to put this in a way that won't make everyone mad at me
i always take the assumption that most of the people with illicit drug dependencies would easily have prescribed drug dependencies instead if their life had taken only a slightly different path, and vice versa
@hikari (some of) the people who have their heads stuck in "policy" know this already, and they call it "self-medication" which needs to be dealt with by providing "pathways into treatment"
@hikari Quite a lot of opioid addicts started that way thanks to Purdue Pharma
@hikari Most of the stigma around drug addicting is just about illegal use, like it's fine to be barred out 24/7 on a xanax script but as soon as soon as you take one marijuana it becomes a Problem
Fucking bullshit
