jump to expanded postRock Band 3 Pro Bass mode review: this has finally gotten me to stand up when playing guitar!!!
the difficulty involved in playing (heavily simplified lower-difficulty versions of) real songs in real time has forced me to realise what i was doing wrong ergonomically!
i understand what people are on about with neck angle now
specific example: putting my index finger on the 2nd fret and ring finger on the 4th fret is easy and comfortable with the neck at a like 45-degree angle or something, but not if it's parallel to the floor
i got over 90% score on the Hard difficulty level (second-highest) for Pro Bass on one of, well, the simplest basslines in the entire game, but i'm starting to feel like i'm actually getting somewhere now. i'm having fun! https://youtu.be/IdNSvwhsrls
blessed be whoever added the support to RPCS3 for using standard MIDI devices with Rock Band 3, without needing the official MIDI PRO-Adapter. i happen to have one anyway, but the convenience of just connecting to my audio interface's MIDI input instead is so nice
