maybe the problem is that you can hold down the striker lever on the grenade for a long time, but eventually you will slip up. it's no substitute for actually disposing of the grenade at some point
someone is going to tell me this metaphor does not fit with how grenades actually work, aren't they (the metaphor only exists in my mind because of a really terrifying scene in a scandinavian crime drama series i watched a few years back)
@hikari nah mythbusters checked this is indeed how grenades work (except the lever is called the "spoon")
also I can confirm this is how high-end smoke grenades work
