i got my first guitar combo amp yesterday, after spending four months using two different modelling practice amp systems for headphones, and goodness i love this thing. the sound of an analog amp in the room is something magical, it creates a powerful illusion of not being there
twice in my life as an amateur musician have i impulse-bought some late-80's-to-early-90's obscure Roland Corporation product i saw listed second-hand for 50 euros. both times they've been very rewarding purchases. make of that what you will!
