when i first started trying to figure out how to play guitar, i was doing a lot of stuff on one string. then i started trying to do that as little as possible. but once there is Gain involved, using a single string starts kind of making sense again huh… makes muting easier

i can't claim any credit though, i saw an acquaintance in a discord server doing the same (to test out the guitar processor feature of an old yamaha MU-series synth) and then a few days later, when i wanted to test out my distortion pedal, it came to mind
