there's a new William Spaniel video up on youtube called “The Dominoes Falling Toward World War III” and i think it is well worth watching as a reminder or (as the case may be) wake-up call, that we are in an incredibly dangerous moment globally right now
there's so many opportunistic conflicts going on and dominoes that have already fallen, we should be very worried
frozen conflicts can suddenly become quite unfrozen when, for example, your neighbour's government collapses or the superpower guaranteeing peace is distracted by another war
man i miss the era when i thought reduced defence spending was a good idea. humanity is one giant prisoner's dilemma, always and forever
